I Offer My Life To You

This is one of my favorite songs ever - "Lord I Offer My Life to You" by Hillsong United. It always remind me of the great things that the Lord has done in my life. Every time I listen to this music video I always have peace in my heart, I am always reminded that I too have duties and mission to serve the Lord our God - that He has made me for a reason: to honor and worship only Him.

We had an intercession meeting earlier in the church. I always feel great whenever we pray and intercede, especially since we worship the Lord with such sincerity and love. I felt the presence of the Lord earlier, I know He is glorified. Also, it was the first time that I sung out with all my heart and I felt as if the Lord was watching at me as I worship Him. At least, even in that way, we bring honor and glory to His name.

Distant Smile

INTRODUCTION

My name is Name Kara. It's not my real name but I prefer you to call me that way. My friends use to call me "nine" or "neen" in person, but you can call me whatever you want. I use this blog for personal use, or maybe externally too. I am a typical Filipino girl. 20 years old and is a member of NBSB-A,  No Boyfriend Since Born Again! Yeah, that's right. Are you like that, too? Then let's welcome you here. *winks*

So what's with the post title? Well, you'll understand it soon as I continue to update this article. But then, as of now I'd be introducing myself more in details. I'm a born again Christian who lives together with my older sister and with my three other siblings in Christ under a single apartment. You can say we do cheap-ins to lessen the cost. It's a good thing, especially when all of you in the house are all Christians! We understand each other so well...and when trials come - we comfort each other, but of course, God is the best comforter of all.

I'm currently on my second year in college, taking up BS Information Technology at some university here in Davao City. I won't be mentioning the name of my school because I still want to have some privacy on my part. Me and my sister, Mitchie, are not from Davao. Our hometown is General Santos City, and it's the Boxing Champ Manny Pacquiao's hometown, too! Well, not that I'm making a big deal of it, I'm just sharing.

The reason why we are currently living in Davao is because of OUR studies. My older sister is a law student while me on the other hand is striving to become a literate Information Technologist. Studying apart from your parents is kind of a struggle for me, especially since I always miss them. I always have this urge to let them relocate here in the city, so we could be living together as a whole family again. But then, it will take some time to do that. We don't have a house in Davao. To buy land is very expensive nowadays.

I'd be sharing some good stuffs here. That includes testimonies and other inspirational stories, quotes, and even sermon videos. It has been also my desire to help spread the gospels of God. And I am hoping that by sharing the miracles and good things that the LORD our God has done to me will become a blessing to some people, including YOU who might be reading this now.

"Distant Smile" refers to someone that has become very special to me. I don't know what is God's plan about me but then, whatever it may be, I am willing to wait and accept whatever He has for me. I think that the current experiences I have right now will serve as an inspiration and blessings to someone else! That is why I have this desire to share it to everybody. So that people in different races will know that the Lord our God is mighty and powerful. What I am doing now, what I am writing, and whatever I do, I hope this will bring honor and glory to Him. I want to exalt His name by sharing the great things (including the great hurt and pain I had in the past).

As of now, I will be leaving this post UNDONE. This part is just an introduction and I hope to see you around as I post the continuation of a true story entitled "Distant Smile." Till next time!

"He who abides in Me,and I in him,
bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing."
(John 15:5)

You Are Invited to Name Kara's Blog

Hi. My name in this blogosphere is Name Kara. Obviously speaking, that is just my pen name out of the many names I used. If you want to know more about me, let's start becoming friends and you'll see. I don't say my real name here for privacy's purposes.

I am not new to this blog. I have had one before but I've got busy and decided to leave this blogging world. But then, I find it quite amusing this time, especially since I am going to start making my dreams come true. Know what it is? WRITING!

Yes, I love to write. I'd be going back here often as I can to update and all. Thanks to my friend and classmate, Bern, that he introduced to me this site - wherein I can submit my short stories and poems for online magazine publication. I'd be trying this soon and submit one. Try it yourself, too. It is worth the try.

Oh, since I've just made this account active I don't have a circle of friends yet. I would be happy if you start following me. I tell you, you won't get bored around here. It will be nice if we could be friends, so please if you happen to stumble upon this site, please please follow me and let's be friends.

Till next time!

Name Kara.
Note: My name "Name" is not pronounced as the literal pronunciation does, it is pronounced as "Na-meh"
